  • Try Not to Procrastinate- When you put a dish by the sink, you may tell yourself that you will get to it later. Or, when you accidentally spill something on the floor, you might tell yourself that you will get to it later in the day. To prevent routine housekeeping items like these from adding up, we suggest jumping on these small items right away! Taking 10 seconds to clean up a spill will save much more time than taking 10 minutes to put away the dishes, clean up the spills, wipe down the counters… you get the idea!
  • Motivate Yourself! After a long day, the last thing you want to do is take out the trash or take care of the dishes piling up in the sink. If you are having a hard time making yourself clean up, try rewarding yourself after with a warm cup of coffee, or an hour of reading or watching your favourite show. Sometimes, the idea of a reward will help you go that extra mile!
